Welcome to the UNT Yu-Gi-Oh Club President: James Melfi Vice President: Wesley Beaulieu Recruiter: Patric Grove Treasurer: Adrian Jourdan Secretary: Michael Rakestraw

Meeting Dates Fridays, 6:00 pm, Union Dates we don’t meet: November 22-25: Thanksgiving Break Last Club Meeting: November 30 Holiday Meetings and themes will be discussed through OrgSync and GroupMe. You will be allowed to vote for what you want the most.

What to Expect Five Round Tournaments, with Prize support. Best of 3 matches. Siding is allowed between games 1 and 2, and 2 and 3 if you decide to have a side deck. Trading - Remember to check card prices to make sure you’re getting a trade you’re personally okay with. Judges will be primarily Wesley and James. If you can’t figure out a ruling yourselves, feel free to ask us. Judges rulings are final for the day of the tournament. Also, we make mistakes, so if a ruling changes between different dates it’s because our knowledge has widened. It’s not personal. Officers are the only ones able to input scores. When you’ve finished your match, report to one of the officers.

Prize Support Only available on a person by person basis. If you’ve paid your dues, you can win support. If not, you can still participate in tournaments, but you won’t get prize support. Dues: 20$ (Money is used to purchase prize support, food for food days, etc.) Sets will be determined on OrgSync through a majority vote.

Vote (must register first) https://unt.campuslabs.com/engage/submitter/election/start/224229

Proxies/Foreign Cards Proxies are not allowed in our tournaments. Proxies include: Blank cards used as placeholders, printed cards from a computer, written out effects on paper in a card sleeve, etc. However, to make cards more available, Foreign Cards will be allowed if a translation is available, and if it adheres to the Yu-Gi-Oh TCG Forbidden/Limited list. Foreign cards can be from OCG or TCG countries, in any rarity. Please try to limit foreign cards to expensive staples, not building a whole deck. We don’t want to have to translate every single card.

Club Etiquette Everyone at club is there to have a good time, so try to keep it lighthearted. Yu-Gi-Oh can be a competitive game, but make sure that the drama stays on the playfield, not after the match ends. We’re all friends here! Please leave personal drama out of club. If a personal issue comes up, try to resolve it without affecting everyone else. If you need to drop from the tournament for any reason, let an officer know. We will make sure things get put in correctly. Try to help each other out. We have both old and new players in the group, under all skill levels. Try to be patient and/or help newcomers with their plays.

Club T-Shirts

Becoming TCG Club Plan on incorporating other card games by next semester, particularly Magic. So far it looks like Magic will be held on Mondays at 5 or 6 Spread the word Have about 10 people so far Will be the commander format TCG Club could also eventually include days for Pokémon, Force of Will, Weiss etc., as long as there are enough members to consider holding an event that day every week.
