WELCOME BACK! CLASS MEETING INFO

CAMPUS NORMS Work for the Team. Have a Positive Attitude. Engage in learning. Practice Professionalism. CAMPUS NORMS It’s What we do here.

Putting Your Best Foot Forward GPA starts freshman year and it is hard to bring up, but very easy to have it drop. Work with your teacher and put in the time to improve grades. USE YOUR CLASS TIME! UTILIZE TUTORIALS, MATH/ WRITING CENTERS and WORKSHOP WEDNESDAY TIME! Staying on top of your academics...

School Safety and Security Campus has a lot of open access points, security is important, but we need YOUR HELP! Safety is a daily practice. Follow the protocols Know what do to do, no matter what classroom or school space you are in Keep exterior doors locked at all times - DON’T PROP OPEN THE DOORS! Be alert and tell someone of suspicious/ unknown people or objects Don’t assume, make sure

Lockdown Drill/ Situation- Danger is INSIDE the building Locks, Lights, Stay Quiet Make sure the classroom doors are locked - don’t go outside to lock exterior doors Lights out and window blinds closed Hide from view of windows Stay quiet DO NOT OPEN THE DOOR FOR ANYONE! Anyone who needs to come in, will have a key and can do it without you opening the door. Even if an announcement is made, stay in lockdown until manually released.Be hesitant if fire alarm goes off during a lockdown. Stay in Lockdown protocol unless there are signs of actual fire. If outside your classroom, go directly to the closest classroom or open room and hide in a dark area. If outside the building, go to safe spot (police substation behind our campus)

Lockout Drill/ Situation - Danger is OUTSIDE the building Secure the Perimeter! Lock doors (interior/ exterior) Stay inside the classroom, unless an emergency Don’t go outside If outside, move inside the building Don’t let anyone in from outside the building Stay alert Business as usual in the classroom

Campus Evacuation Go to the Announced Location Stay quiet Stay with your class Stay alert Leave everything inside classroom In Lockdown situation - hold hands leaving building

Shelter in Place - Bad Weather/ HAZMAT Personal Protection Needed Drop, Cover and Hold Seal openings around windows and doors using the GO Kit Be alert

HOLD - any time we need hallways clear Announcement will be made for the “HOLD IN PLACE.” Students are to go back to their classrooms from common spaces or hallways and stay in the class. NO STUDENTS SHOULD BE ALLOWED TO LEAVE AT ANY TIME DURING HOLD.

Basic Daily Responsibilities Your teacher must know where you are at all times. If you change locations for any reason, you must notify or have permission from your teacher and always wear your ID. Once on campus, you may not leave without parent/guardian permission AND front office approval. This means even before school starts or after school if returning for an event. If you have permission to leave campus at any time, you must sign out or be signed out and leave through the front office. If you drive, be prompt in coming into the school, do not wait in vehicles. If you need to visit your vehicle or go outside for any reason, you must have an adult accompany you. During lunch, morning tutorials, and club time, students must have teacher supervision - you may not be in an area without supervision. After 8:45am, all students and visitors must enter through the front office door. Basic Daily Responsibilities WE NEED YOUR HELP!
