Learning Target By the end of class, I will be able to describe and categorize the 4 parts of health as evidence by, creating my own health and wellness wheel diagram.

Wellness Balancing your physical, emotional, mental and social self

Physical 25% Eat a balanced diet Participate in plenty of physical activities Avoid tobacco, drugs and alcohol Get 8 hours of sleep each day Practice good hygiene Visit the doctor and dentist annually Practice safety

Emotional Understand how to recognize and deal with your feelings

Emotional 25% Express emotions in calm and healthy ways Deal with sadness and get help when depressed Accept strengths and weakness

Social 25% Do you think that social health always means being popular? In what ways might the desire for popularity get in the way of achieving social health? It is the quality, not the quantity, of relationships thant contributes to a person’s social health.
