Learning Objectives You will: What I’m looking for… Learn how to create a textured background Learn how to create a junk sculpture Develop team working skills. Learn about screen printing, how to prepare it and how to do it and learn subject specific terminology relating to printing. Learn to work independently whilst others produce their own screen print. What I’m looking for… A tonal drawing of a piece of fruit or vegetable A colour screen printed background on a sheet of A2 paper A collection of collage materials

Stages of Screen Printing 10 minutes

45 minutes Continue your tonal drawing of your fruit or vegetable which you started in the last lesson. When you are called, come to the screen printing bed to produce a screen print onto A3 paper. Put your name onto the sheet and hang it to dry. By the end of the lesson you will have finished your tonal drawing and have produced a screen printed background.

PREP.WORK Collect the correct colour magazine papers to produce a collage of your piece of fruit or vegetable in the next lesson, make sure to collect a variety of tones.

3 minutes Turn to the back of your sketchbook and thinking about the learning objectives from the start of the lesson, tick each statement that you feel confident you have learnt. Now at the right-hand side, write down one specific thing that you have learnt today that you didn’t know before. Learning Objectives You will: Develop your tonal drawing skills.
