Manufacture Part Search Step by Step Procedure of Execution of Manufacture Part Bifurcation using Template and Closet Part Search Operation. As you Execute the Manufacture Part Search Form the below Screen is Display to Start on MPN Search. List of All the Type of Parts used in EST. e.g. Capacitor, Resistor etc. List of All Manufacture Name associated with the Type of Parts used in EST. e.g. VENKEL, SPRAGUE etc. Manufacture Part Number to be Enter Manually by the User.

Steps of Execution Select the Type of Part Listed on to the Screen. After Selection of Part Type is done its Associated Manufacture Name will be listed on to the Screen. Select the Manufacture Name from the List. After Selection enter the Valid Manufacture Part Number (MPN) . After entering the MPN, Click on to the “GO” button provided. As user click on the “GO” button, depending upon the MPN enter the Execution Plan Process is executed.

Details on the Different Execution Plan Process After Clicking on “GO” Button the process will distributed on to the following condition depends upon the MPN entered by the User. Parts Details from SQL DB This will display the whole Bifurcated data with its Description and actual value of entered MPN which is already present in SQL Database entered manually by the User . Note: This will be the data collected by Amod on the List of MPN provided to him for Bifurcation. Parts Details through Template This will display the whole Bifurcated data with its Description and actual value of entered MPN where the MPN is linked with its associated template of selected Manufacture. Note: This will be the Bifurcated data created through the a predefined link between a template and Manufacturer Part Series. Cont…

Details on the Different Execution Plan Process (Cont..) List of Template to Assign This will appear only when the entered MPN is not found in SQL Database as well as its not linked to any of the existing template for the selected manufacture name. Here the Screen will appear with the List of Template created for the Selected manufacturer. user can select any one from the list and check the bifurcation data generated by the selected template.if the display data is not up to mark after checking all the listed template output user can go for the option of creating or defining a new template for entered MPN .User can then check the output with the “created template” option and process for saving bifurcation data to database. Note: Option of Creating new template will lead you to Create Template Option. Create Template Here a screen available for the user to define the Part Numbering System for the selected Manufacture Name. Note: Logic & Formula to be define properly.

Actual Process with a Simple Example Selected Part Type : Capacitor Selected Manufacture Name : VENKEL As you type in MPN list of all MPN of selected Manufacture will be display as shown, If the Enter MPN matches with the any one of the Listed MPN number the process is directed to the option “Parts Details from SQL DB” and the screen will directed as shown below. User can click on the Check Box provided by side on every field to find the closest part for the that criteria and click “OK” Button for the result to be display on Screen.

Example Continue… As user click “OK” button the result is shown as below, here the user is looking for the MPN with Rated Voltage as 6.3V While Clicking on the MPN as shown, its associated data will display on Side as Shown below.user can also search for Similar Parts by selecting the listed criteria in Checkbox.

Example Continue… If the Enter MPN is not found in SQL Database but is linked to the Selected Manufacture Template the software would display the part bifurcation based on the logic stored in the template.

Example Continue… If the Enter MPN is not linked to the Selected Manufacture Template or else it is not found in SQL Database the process is directed to the option “List of Template to Assign” and the screen will directed and it will be same as shown below, Will be Activated only after Selecting the Listed Template which will direct user to Save the Data to Database. List of Template of Selected Manufacture Name (Name of Template will be User Define). While Clicking on to any of Listed Template MPN is been process through the Logic Define through that Template and its Bifurcation Data is Display on the Shown Grid.

Example Continue… If the Enter MPN Data doesn’t found to be properly bifurcated after processing to all the listed Manufacture Template then the process is directed to the option “Create Template” and the screen will directed and it will be same as shown below, Add -: Add New Field to the Template. Remove -: Delete Newly added Field to the Template. Continue….

Example Continue… Field Description -: Name of the field. E.g. SERIES, SIZE, RATED VOLTAGE.etc. Start Position -: Start position of that field in that part number. e.g. Start position of RATED VOLTAGE field is i.e. 500 is 9. Length -: number of character in that part number string i.e. for RATED VOLTAGE field number of characters in string “500 “ is 3 so length is 3. Data type -: Type of field value. E.g. String, Numeric etc. Unit -: Unit of field value. I.e. Unit of capacitance is UF (micro faraday) or PF (Pico faraday). Parameters -: User can enter parameter for that field by clicking “Details” button. As any field consist of any Parameters Value by Clicking on to the Details button as shown, user is Directed to Details Screen to enter related value. Continue..

Example Continue… Details Screen consist of two option as shown below. Input Value : Value from Original Part Number string. Output Value : Actual values for the Input string. System Constants: Constants variable like Pi (3.14) etc. Operators: Arithmetic operator +,-,*,,/,^ Conditional operators <,>,<>,==,=,&&,|| Built In Function: All Script function.

Example Continue… Details Formula Explanation. If user want to create formula for capacitance and formula for 104 is describe as 10 * 10 ^4 in Data Sheet then User can create formula by selecting built in function, system constants and operators. Procedure to create formula for the same we have string data for capacitance field that is “104” . Select Built In function SubStr () [SubStr (int Start Position, int length)] which will be define as SubStr(1,2) Then SubStr (1, 2) function which will create a substring of main string “104” into “10” . Final formula for this Logic will be SubStr (1,2) * 10 ^ SubStr (3,1)
