Writing SAQ (Short Answer Question) Approximately 13 mins per question (3?s, choice of 4) and must stay in box given in booklet SAQ 1 = secondary source, SAQ 2= primary source, SAQ 3 and 4 = no stimulus Asked to do three tasks per question DBQ (Document Based Question) Given 7 documents with essay question Even if you don’t know the content well, you can rock this essay by analyzing information given Must find relationships among docs (corroboration/contradiction) Will need to use POV, purpose, historical situation, or audience Will practice working w/ docs A LOT LEQ (Long Essay Question) Must know content well including region, theme, and time period Can be a Compare/Contrast (CC) essay, a Causation essay, or a Change and Continuity Over Time (CCOT) essay Some skills will be easier to use for certain topics Will be given three options
