Main Plot Wallace WALLACE, is the middle school football star. He has promised himself to never tell a lie. He was asked to make a report on the book Old Shep, My Pal, where he had to review the English teacher latest. He got detention until he writes a good review by his English teacher, Mr. Fogelman because of he won’t lie about his feelings, so he expressed that he dislikes this book because the dog die, and writes some negative review in the report. He may not be free of detention until he writes a proper report.

What is the aim of this book? In modern society, most of classical novels all are false. For example, when you read some novel or movie which is about dogs, the dogs always died at the end. The author utilizes this idea to create this story and try to change the ending. He hopes that he can through this book to let readers know that stories can be rewritten too.

Book Review This book is a very interesting book. It is one of the most hilarious books I have ever read! Except it is hilarious, it also let me understand that I just need to be myself, I am me. For example, in order to get a good mark, we need to express wrong feelings, even though we dislike it, we still need to express that it is good. However, Wallace has the courage. He has the courage to do the thing which we cannot do. We should learn from him, to learn to not tell a lie.
