Evergreen PTA (Parent Teacher Association)

Who we are We are a team of committed, creative & fun- loving parents at Evergreen Elementary, striving to enrich the school going experience of all our students. A healthy mix of experienced and new officers, the PTA Executive Board works with our Principal – Mr. Sweeney, Teachers & Staff all year round to organize lunch-time activities, after-school activities, community-building activities and innovative fundraisers.

What we do Here’s a snap shot of community building & enrichment activities organized by the PTA: Back to School Parent Welcome Breakfast – TODAY !!! Back to School Teacher’s Welcome Luncheon & Kindergarten Ice Cream Social Reflections Movie Nights – Admission free to Parent Teacher Association Members and non-members alike Community Picnic – Bringing the parent community together to socialize Talent Show Winter Supply Drive for our class teachers Book Fair International Day Carnival Smart Craft Book Exchange, Bingo Night and many more…….

Significant Contributions of the PTA In the year 2015-16, PTA supported our school by providing: $16,000 in Student Welfare Funds that supported Field Trips for all grade levels and technology purchases for classrooms. $14,200 in Grants to classrooms disbursed towards classroom supplies $3,900 towards purchases for school library $4,200 towards school assemblies such as Island of the Blue Dolphins, Rockets & Robots, Dairy Council, STEAM – Hands on Interactive assembly, etc.

This year, with YOUR support, we hope to: Install a hands free drinking water system Support classrooms with a grant of $14,200 Support funding of the prestigious STEAM Lab at our school Extend full support to Safety initiatives to keep students safe on & around campus.

How can YOU help? JOIN!! – For just $15 a year, you can be a member of this wonderful association, the PTA. DONATE – We request a flat donation of $100 OR Any other amount per student to help us achieve this years’ goals. VOLUNTEER – If you are able and would like to, PLEASE step up to volunteer so you can contribute positively to our growing community. Get in touch with pta.evergreen@hotmail.com

Safety First In order to keep what’s most precious – our students, safe, Evergreen PTA requests you to please bear in mind the following: Do NOT leave your vehicle unattended at the curb along the school drop off only zone Do NOT stop at or enter via the EXIT!! Do NOT walk across from the exit to the cul-de-sac, it is highly unsafe to do so Please keep goodbye’s short n sweet during drop off Let us model safe habits so our children may learn from us
