ODH As the majority of the accelerator consists of super conducting components, there is a large inventory of helium / nitrogen in the cold systems. A large leak of helium / nitrogen will cause lack of oxygen in affected area and represent an ODH. The ODH Monitoring System will detect and alarm through the OXIGRAF oxygen deficiency monitors in the event of levels dropping below 19.5%

ODH Oxygen < 19.5%, CCR & MCR will be informed Oxygen < 18%, CCR & MCR will be informed, activation of Red lighting, Siren & Strobe lighting, Beam off Station ODH indication.

Oxigraf O2iM

Oxigraf O2iM The Oxigraf sensor uses laser diode absorption technology to measure oxygen concentration in the gas sample. Single or Multipoint Scan mode. Internal battery backup system that will keep the O2iM operating and reporting for one hour if the external power is interrupted Relays to show system OK, Hi O2 and Low O2 Warm up for full accuracy ≈ 10 minutes

General Architecture Programmable Logic Controller will react from the Digital Input which connected to Oxigraf ODH Monitoring System and send the Digital Output signal to activate Red Light, Beam Off Station ODH Indicator, Strobe lighting & siren system and Message of ODH will be sent to CCR and MCR. Current design with single PLC system, migrate to Siemens F/H system on 2019 (tentatively, depends on Siemens product launch)
