Presentation transcript:

Revision in Personal Development Sleep Hygiene Diet and Exercise Drug Use and Misuse Maintaining good Mental Health, including identifying and treating stress. Maintaining positive relationships. Exams are new to us in PD. Last year was the first time in which we have had formal assessments carried out under exam conditions. So we are on a learning curve in terms of preparing students for PD specific exams, however we have always supported students in their preparation for public exams.

Supporting Revision in Year 11 Last year we taught a unit to all Year 11 students on how to look after their brain in the run up to the GCSE exams. We explored the need for the right food and drink for the brain to function fully. Evidence based approaches to learning and revision. The importance of rest to the brain. The mental and physical barriers to learning. How technology can help, and hinder, learning and revision. How to prepare the brain in the run up to an exam.
