What is FSUshadow? Single day job shadowing program ran during academic breaks (fall, spring, summer) Provides an opportunity to build your professional network Allows you to try out career paths before you have to make a decision

Why participate?

Program Overview Shadowing opportunities are available across the region and nationwide You apply to a specific job shadow opportunity with a set host and schedule Can choose to apply to single day or multiple days over session *for specific shadow dates, check the website www.career.fsu.edu/fsush adow

How to Apply Log in to Handshake (www.career.fsu.edu/Hands hake) Search FSUshadow under jobs or employers Have your resume reviewed before applying Apply to specific shadowing opportunities you are interested in by submitting your resume Think strategically of which ones work best for you

Application Tips Read the location, date and description carefully! Ensure experience works for you Apply to different dates to maximize your chance of being selected Don’t apply to several on one day Customize your resume to fit the experience Apply ONLY to locations you will be, or are able to travel to

Important Details Travel: If selected, you are responsible for all travel costs to and from the location Credit/Pay: You do not receive academic credit or monetary compensation for your participation Requirements: once matched with an opportunity, you are required to: Complete an online orientation Sign liability/confidentiality waivers Take a picture Send a thank you note Complete follow up survey
