Rules 4 teams 3 total activities 40 mins to complete all activities. Use any given materials for any activity; only have the certain amount of materials so use them wisely. Exec board are the judges Judged on performance/ design. For each activity: 5 points for first place 3 points for second place 1 point for third place
Engineering Olympics: Balloon Car Objective: Design and build your own balloon-powered car that will travel as far as possible. Cars will be tested against each other to see who’s car travels the farthest.
Engineering Olympics: Marshmallow Tower Objective: To build the tallest tower that can hold a marshmallow. Marshmallow must be on top of the tower. Tower must be able to stand on it’s own.
Engineering Olympics: Prosthetic Leg Course involves making turns and possibly stepping over an object. Judged on Performance in Obstacle Course (time). Judged on Design The most important characteristics for a good prosthetic leg include strength, durability, longevity, shock absorption, lifelikeness and comfort. Objective: Build a prosthetic leg that can be used to walk on.
