Presentation transcript:

August 6th, 2019 Write in your agenda on today’s date. This is not optional, and I will check it. If we have no homework then write no homework or no hw. Get out your ONE subject SPIRAL journal. Write your name in marker on the outside cover and the inside of the front cover. (If you have a dark colored journal, ask me for a sticker and write your name in pen). On the first page using a black pen write the title “Journal Writing Rules” in the center of the top margin of your paper. Write the following rules- skip lines between each rule. Only write with a black pen. Write legibly, so people can read it. Only write on ONE side of the pages – do not write on the back. You may write more than one entry on a page as long as you skip two lines between them, write each date centered like it is a title, and highlight it with yellow. NEVER tear pages out of the journal. Number every page as you go front side only. The Rules page is number 1. Always write the date as your title at the top and middle of each page and highlight it with yellow. Just keep writing, and do not stop until we move on to another activity. Put your journal in the crate with your class period on it.

Binder Set Up for ELA If you have not done so already, set up your three tabs as: 1. Keepers 2. Current Unit 3. Practice/Misc. Make sure you have plenty of loose leaf notebook paper in your binder.
