Robert Delaunay Born in Paris in 1885 Started painting at age 19 Inspired by the sun and colours of nature Tried to capture the sense of rhythm and motion in colours 1930’s, started a series of paintings called “Rhythms of Circular Forms”, featuring circular shapes divided into areas of contrasting colours He kept making art in this way until he died in 1941.
