Recent Developments in Gaming Introduction of online gaming; Convergence between land-based and online gaming; Growth in omni-channel gaming in some countries; Large amounts of data stored in gaming systems; Increasing use of data analytics to personalise the player experience; Use of systems to support Responsible Gaming; and Use of Anti-Money Laundering features to provide warning alerts.

Research and Development Data analytics is playing an increasing role. Development of Cloud and Hosted Services; New technology such as facial recognition and fingerprint reading; Improving integration between systems; and Allowing game content to be downloaded to machines and configured remotely.
