Services Acquisition Workshop (SAW) Tool What is a SAW? An interactive workshop using a customized approach built around a specific acquisition and its multi-functional team. DAU staff shall facilitate to a specific requirement set with participants using the 7 Step Services Acquisition model found in Defense Acquisition of Services DoDI 5000.74 and Defense Acquisition Guidebook Chapter 10 SAWs required by DPAP memo dated Oct 20, 2017 for all service requirements with total acquisition value > $500M or annual value of > $250M Requiring activities should consider using SAWs on services acquisitions > $10M to < $500M SAWs conducted by Defense Acquisition University or equivalent program E-mail SAW@dau.edu Army’s lower SAW threshold cancelled JAN 2019 SAW ACQuipedia Article SAW Tool POC: Jeffrey.Schmidt@dau.edu
