Is this glove legal? This glove would be illegal if the markings are optic yellow. This is a safety concern for fielders other than the pitcher as an offensive player might perceive the defensive player to have the ball and react to that misperception and also an equity issue of balancing offense vs. defense. The color can be covered and the glove then may be used.

Is this glove legal? In the photo it appears this is optic yellow and would violate 1-4-1-a. If this glove is worn by the pitcher it is a safety concern for the batter trying to pick up the flight of the pitched ball and also an equity issue of balancing offense vs. defense. This is also a safety concern for fielders other than the pitcher as an offensive player might perceive the defensive player to have the ball and react to that misperception. The lacing may be replaced and the glove then may be used.

This is also a safety concern for fielders other than the pitcher as an offensive player might perceive the defensive player to have the ball and react to that misperception The color can be covered and the glove then may be used.

Is this Glove legal? The NFHS does not specify anything about the seams and stitching. This glove complies with the two color requirement of 1-4-1-a and this glove would be legal.

Is this glove legal? The yellow lettering has been colored in on the little finger (pinky) portion of this glove making it legal. The rule does not specify anything about the stitching of the gloves. 1-4-1-c states “Not have an optic-colored marking on the outside or inside that gives the appearance of the ball.” This stitching is not a marking and it would not give the appearance of the ball. Part 1-4-1-e “Not be judged as distracting by the umpire” is in reference to other graphics and designs that could be distracting it is not intended to allow the umpire to judge standard stitching as distracting.

Legal- the glove is two colored, the lacing and the manufactures logo are not counted as one of the colors of the glove per 1-4-1-a.
