Choosing Sides

Choosing Sides A choice must be made (Joshua 24:15) There is no neutral side We are friends of the world or friends of God (James 4:4) We are against the Lord or for Him (Mark 9:38-40) We are children of God or children of the devil (1 John 3:10)

Choosing Sides Choose the Lord’s side! It is the winning side. (Romans 8:31, 37) You’ll never need to fear being overwhelmed by your opponent (Psalms 118:6; 24:1-8) Those not on the Lord’s side will incur His wrath (Romans 1:18; 1 Peter 3:12) It is the side the Lord leads (Joshua 5:13-15)

Choosing Sides The children of Israel made a golden calf and worshiped it (Exodus 32:1-6) Joshua assumes that the noise he hears is war in the camp, and in a way he was right. People were choosing sides! (Exo. 32:17-18) Moses called to those who were on the Lord’s side. The Levites had already chosen the Lord’s side! (Exodus 32:26) Like them, you and I are choosing which side we are on every day. (1 Corinthians 10:6-7)
