Sanctify “To render or declare something as sacred or holy; to consecrate or hallow; to separate from things profane and be dedicated to God”

There are only 2 ways to “sanctify”… Physically – literally removed to a “safe place” away from that which is defiling Not the option the Scripture encourages

I have given them Thy word; and the world has hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. I do not ask Thee to take them out of the world, but to keep them from the evil one. Jn 17:14-15

I wrote you in my letter not to associate with immoral people; I did not at all mean with the immoral people of this world, or with the covetous and swindlers, or with idolaters; for then you would have to go out of the world. 1 Cor 5:9-10

There are only 2 ways to “sanctify”… Physically – literally removed to a “safe place” away from that which is defiling Spiritually – a mental resolve to dedicate self for Divine purposes

Jn 17:17 Sanctify them through Thy truth. Thy word is truth. [God sanctifies us.] Jn 17:17

But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear. [We sanctify God.] 1 Pet 3:15

Nevertheless, the firm foundation of God stands, having this seal, “The Lord knows those who are His,” and, “Let everyone who names the name of the Lord abstain from wickedness.” Now in a large house there are not only gold and silver vessels, but also vessels of wood and of earthenware, and some to honor and some to dishonor.

Therefore, if a man cleanses himself from these things, he will be a vessel for honor, sanctified, useful to the Master, prepared for every good work. [A “sanctified” people of a “sanctified” God to do “sanctified” works.] 2 Tim 2:19-21

We have no other interest but to offer Him the worship He desires. This “sanctified” God has set apart this day for His people to worship Him. We have no other interest but to offer Him the worship He desires.
