Church Hill Community Play Area Land owned by Redditch Borough Council YMCA have long-term leasehold on the land Redditch Borough Council match funded play area

How relationship developed … Increased local Councillor involvement Identifying key officers within the Councils and developing working relationship

Church Hill Walking Routes Launched in 2016 5 routes across estate of Church Hill Covering over 6 miles of footpaths Needed permissions from County Council for signage on lampposts Worked with Borough Council to tidy up main footpaths

Bulb Planting 2 planting events in November 2016 and November 2018 Involving pupils from the 2 First Schools in the area Borough Council’s Landscaping Team helped prep ground beforehand… …And also turned up on the day to help out

Maintaining the relationship … Working in partnership Keeping them informed of projects Involve them in project planning Not overloading or being excessively demanding Sharing successes
