Global Health Practicum

The Cost…… The program fee is $2700-$3300, the final fee depends on the number of students in the program. NOTE: The program fee will be offset by $1,000 for UBC students qualifying for the Go Global Award We’re estimating the total cost will be between $6000-$6500. Don’t forget about tuition…..you will also have to pay this (whether you’re here or in Africa!). Included in program fee Not included in program fee Accommodations On-site group transportation          Entrance fees* Guest lectures Go Global Fee Flight ($2000-2500) Meals ($500) Health or travel insurance ($200) Immunizations (if necessary) ($250-500) Visas ($50) Personal spending money for communications, snacks, souvenirs, etc.  ( $300-500) Some in country travel costs (taxis etc) Extracurricular travel and accommodation costs

Eligibility and prerequisites Students in good academic standing that have successfully completed Nursing 431 Have taken the Advanced Global Health Theory course. Membership and evidence of participation in the Global Nursing Citizens club GPA above 72% Satisfactory in all domains of practice appraisal forms Exemplary clinical practice attendance No records of Unprofessional Conduct Proof of current CPR Application Deadline: September 24th, 2019
