Presentation Evening Agenda Friday 21st June 2019 5.45pm 6.15pm Schools who are arriving by mini bus and bringing a packed tea with them can make their way to the Millennium Hall. Doors open for everyone. Students and their families will start to arrive and make their way to the Millennium Hall. 6.30pm Everyone make their way to the Sports Hall to commence the evening. 6.35pm Penny Joelson, our host for the evening, will be introduced to everyone. Penny will give an introduction to ‘The Sussex Coast Schools’ Amazing Book Awards and then ask a nominated student to introduce each shortlisted author alphabetically to the stage. The author will talk for approximately 10 minutes each about themselves and their book and will read a small passage from the shortlisted title. 7.45pm Penny will reveal the Bronze and Silver winners and authors will receive an award from a student and then respond. Penny to announce the 2019 winner of the ABA’s who will receive the Gold award from a student and then respond. Other shortlisted authors will receive a gift from students. There will then follow a prize giving for students. Penny will announce and present the competition prizes. 8.10pm Round up of proceedings and Authors will be escorted from the stage to the book signing area. The Book Nook will be selling authors’ books and a book signing will commence.
