Activities for our Tiny Titans & Super Tykes! Focus on Physical Literacy and Fundamental Movement Prep; running, hopping, skipping, jumping, change of direction and tumbling. Activities will aid in developing the child’s Agility, Balance and Coordination (A,B,C’S) with and without a soccer ball. Introduction to basic technical skills such as; dribbling and kicking. Age and stage appropriate curriculum provided by the Technical Director. ASC coaches will be on hand to support and lead activities. Parent/Guardian and player are to participate together. Demonstration and enthusiasm are key! No laps, no lines and no lectures!

Game Format for our U4-U6 3v3 with no goalkeeper. Field size: 22 yards x 18 yards. Small “Pug goals”. Multiple soccer balls will be used within each game. Players rotate every 2-3 minutes. Lead by parent volunteers and supervised by ASC coaches. Players that are off should sit with their parent/guardian. Parents should surround the field to keep ball in play.

The Role of the Coach and Parent in the game Coaches and parents work together to ensure the sessions run smoothly. Encourage and cheer on every player on the field. Players do not play in specific positions at this age. Parents should position themselves around the whole field to prevent the soccer ball from leaving the playing area.

Key Points to remember! Children at this age are not cognitively ready to share Children at this age are not capable of focusing on technique Children at this age have short attention spans Children at this age want to have FUN Enthusiasm from coaches and parents is key
