PE and Sports Premium statement 2019-20 The premium must be used to fund additional and sustainable improvements to the provision of PE and sport, for the benefit of primary-aged pupils, in the 2019 to 2020 academic year, to encourage the development of healthy, active lifestyles. More staff in the playground at playtime and lunchtime to facilitate physical activities, including a professional Sports Coach from K-Sports. Wider range of equipment to engage and motivate children, including hoops, cones, skipping ropes and other sport-specific equipment such as hockey sticks. Rotation of sports/equipment weekly in the playground, organised and promoted by staff. This includes having the playground divided in to zones to ensure safe space for activities Field marked up to facilitate a range of team sports, such as football, field hockey and tag-rugby. Children elected democratically as a Pupil Leadership Team, who are trained to role model and lead areas of PE and sport. Pupil voice feedback used to plan, implement and measure the impact of whole-school improvements to PE and sport. Timetable change to reflect regular morning workout Whole-school ‘Morning Workout’ embedded, including activities which maximize inclusion and engagement. Trim trail installed in playground and maintained.  £9,500 2: The profile of PE and sport being raised across the school as a tool for whole school improvement  Pupils share sporting achievements throughout the wider community. Medals and trophies purchased to celebrate achievement and participation in PE and sport. PE section on the website re-developed to promote the PE and sport in our school. Teams sent to local and school-to-school events Liaise and share support with the Malling School to support events. Support Infant school sports day with Year 6 Pupil Leadership Team to promote sport and give rewards for the support. Sports day to become part of our ‘Healthy Schools Week’ promotion and to involve new events, widening the profile of PE and sport as well as new sporting achieving achievements / experiences.  £2,500

CPD training on equipment in school, share ideas about how different pieces of equipment can be used. Training and support provided in areas of PE that teachers feel less confident in teaching. Ensure CPD for support staff is implemented so that any disadvantaged pupils and those with reservations increase their participation levels. Clear curriculum expectation, progression and challenge in all lessons.  £2000 4: Broader experience of a range of sports and activities offered to all pupils All pupils will have had the opportunity to try 5 new sports or activities. Extra-curricular activities are provided for children to learn new activities and skills. Children will have the opportunity to share their experiences of these new activities/games to their peers in PE lessons. CPD training for staff to learn new skills/activities to teach to their classes/year groups and the whole school. Pupil Voice feedback and Pupil Leadership Team to be involved in the selection of new equipment/sports (intent), in the implementation (break/lunch times) and ultimately in monitoring the impact. Specialist sports included at events for children to try, such as the Christmas Fayre. £3000 5: Increased participation in competitive sport  By the end of the year we will have at least 2 competitive teams that have competed in external events. Football / Netball matches to be organised by SL for our football club members. New school team kits to be purchased, maximising the profile of PE and sport in the wider community. Identify team players through attendance and progression at extra-curricular clubs. Pupil Voice feedback and Pupil Leadership Team involved in the promotion of competitive events. £1420
