Zip file is also known as “Archive File ”. Transportation and storage are the purpose to use the Zip file. It compress the data. It saves the file With zip extension. All types of file is supported by this.

Working process of ZIP file is as follows:  Combine 2 or more files into single container file.  Compress the data.  Provide an optional password to its content.

 Select the folder you want to compress.  Right click on the folder, Click on send to and then on compressed folder.

 Locate the compressed file you want to extract.  Now for further steps follow the given steps:  Double click on compressed file.  Minimum size of ZIP file is 22 bytes.  Maximum size of the file is 4,294,967,295 bytes.  This method is not suitable for large number of small files.

 Open WinRAR program in your system.  Go to file click on open archive.  Find Archive window will be displayed. Select corrupted ZIP file.  Go to tools and then on Repair Archive.  Repairing filename.zip will appear. Click on Treat the corrupt archive as ZIP. Hit on “ok”.  Corrupt file will be recovered. Hit on “close”.
