Student Advocacy and Support Designed to address a variety of non- academic barriers that students face Available to all currently enrolled curriculum students and a limited number of programs are available to the greater Wake Tech and Wake County communities Primary Areas: Housing, child care, health insurance, legal aid, food insecurity, transportation

Referring to NCWorks Career Center NCWorks Career Center staff (NCWCCS) are on rotation to be available for student appointments Capital Area Workforce Development (CAWD) processes referrals from Wake Tech and JCC CAWD emails NCWCCS for appointment date and time. The appointment is confirmed with NCWCCS. CAWD emails the appointment confirmation to student(s) and copies the designated NCWCCS. Within the body of the email, CAWD includes documents required during the appointment. I.e. Identification Card, Social Security Card, and school transcripts

NCWorks Role in Finish Line NCWCCS provides an overview of all NCWorks services. NCWCCS completes the Wagner Peyser and WIOA Enrollments tagging the customer with the FLG Activity Code. Individual Employment Plans are created. The applicant’s financial hardship payments are processed.
