Career Pathways- HS courses that might be applied to a JCCC degree. AP courses- an altogether different animal. A test that is taken in May for possible college credit depending on score. Associate’s Degree- 60 credit hour degree consisting of 30 credit hours of general education requirements and 30 hours of electives General Education requirements- A group of courses in various areas of arts and sciences that must be satisfied to graduate. Free Electives/General Electives- Free for all, count toward credit hour total but not major requirement. Equivalent courses- learning outcomes for two courses are the same or content is such that one course counts for same course at a different institution. KBOR- Kansas Board of Regents- oversees all higher education in Kansas. KCOG alignment- courses that will transfer system wide in Kansas as equivalent. Transfer Terminology
