Provides the most important and shortest link between Chisinau and Giurgiulesti International Free Port – giving access to the Danube and the Black Sea. An integral part of the European Road E584 Poltava – Kirovograd – Chisinau –Giurgiulesti – Galati – Slobozia. and TRACECA Network

Bypass of the villages Slobozia Mare, Cașlița-Prut and Giurgiulești 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 20,8 km – New construction. Feasibility study in place. Identified as priority project within TRACECA. Cost 21,3 M Euro. Will be presented at the II TRACECA Investment Forum. The project funding is under negotiation with EBRD

Rehabilitation and extension of the national road Chisinau-Giurgiulesti Chisinau-Giurgiulesti has available funds from EBRD and EC for the Comrat-Cismichioi section and Vulcanesti bypass with total length of 91.8 km. From total road length of 215 km, sections Chișinău-Porumbrei with the length of 34 km and Cimișlia-Comrat with the length of 30 km are in good condition and do not need any rehabilitation works. In present 3 sections have no funds (new construction): - Porumbrei-Cimișlia – 26 km, cost 37.3 M Euro; - Comrat bypass – 17 km, cost 16 M Euro; - Bypass of the villages Slobozia Mare, Cîșlița-Prut and Giurgiulești – 21 km, cost 21,3 mln Euro.
