Topic 0 Lesson 1 Quiz Get a half sheet of paper out, your notes, and a pen or pencil.

Topic 0 Lesson 1 Quiz Name the 8 basic features of civilization.

Reviewing Topic 0 – Connecting with Past Learnings (Prehistory-1700) Today you will be getting into groups of 4, depending on the class size some may be 5, but there needs to be a total of 10 groups. Once there are 10 groups I will then assign each group a Lesson between 2 & 11 in Topic 0. After you have been assigned a Lesson for your group the rest of the period you’ll have to read, take notes, and discuss the importance of that Lesson.

Reviewing Topic 0 – Connecting with Past Learnings (Prehistory-1700) Day 1: Read, take notes, & discuss importance of the Lesson amongst your group. Day 2: Organize thoughts on your Lesson and begin to layout your poster, which will be used on Day 4 for your presentation and the gallery walk. Day 3: Assemble poster and practice presentations. Presentations will be ~5-6 minutes in which you talk about what happened in you Lesson, why this is important to the world and us, and then share out any fun factoids on your Lesson. Day 4: Present and place posters around the classroom to be shown off to create a gallery. Students will have a worksheet that will need to be filled out during the presentations and gallery walk.

A.C.E. (Answer. Cite evidence. Explain.) Warm Up #3 In Topic 0 which Lesson are you and your group covering and what is the most important idea presented in that Lesson? A.C.E. (Answer. Cite evidence. Explain.)

Reviewing Topic 0 – Connecting with Past Learnings (Prehistory-1700) Today you will be getting back into your groups and begin to organize your thoughts and what needs to be placed on the poster. On the poster and presentation the following topics and things need to be covered: What is the main purpose of your Lesson? What important facts were covered in your section that all students should know or at least have a reference to? How does your Lesson help us better understand our world today? Any additional thoughts that can better help us understand the importance of your Lesson. Images/visuals.

Reviewing Topic 0 – Connecting with Past Learnings (Prehistory-1700) Today you will be getting back into your groups and start assembling your posters and practicing your presentations, which need to be ~5-6 minutes in length. On your presentations each member should have a role within the overall presentation and it needs to be practice to meet the ~5-6 minute requirement. * What is the main purpose of your Lesson? * What important facts were covered in your section that all students should know or at least have a reference to? * How does your Lesson help us better understand our world today? * Any additional thoughts that can better help us understand the importance of your Lesson. * Images/visuals.
