We preach Christ crucified: a stumbling block to Jews and foolishness to Gentiles. 1 Corinthians 1:23 Stumbling block – Scandalous Foolishness – mindless & irrational To Americans: silly, outdated, shallow, uncool, unreasonable, intolerant, senseless.

I am not ashamed of the gospel because it gives me cleansing from my past sins because I live in fellowship with God. because I am forgiven of my past, present and future sins. because it teaches me how to say no to wrong living. because it teaches me how to say yes to right living.

I am not ashamed of the gospel because it shows me how to live in peace, confidence and a wholesome life. because it gives me hope for eternal life. because it makes sense of a broken world. because it is the answer to everyone’s struggles no matter their background or social standing. because it frees me from self-centered living and gives me Christ-focused meaning.
