Transforming Tayside

Delivery Framework 2018-2023

‘If we want to create cultures of high-quality, compassionate care, then we need to have leaders who embody the value of compassion as part of their continually-improving, high-quality leadership.’ Prof. Michael West ‘Caring To Change‘ Kings Fund 2017

To create better work environments, we have to start thinking about leadership in a different way. Compassion is an outcome of leadership. It emerges where we get the basics right and staff are able to thrive Leadership is not about power & status. Leadership is about awakening potential.

The most important leader is not the Chief Executive. It’s the leader each of us see most often. You are the most important leader, for you model each day the behaviours and values that others see and experience

Leadership is about empathy Leadership is about empathy. It is about having the ability to relate to and connect with people for the purpose of inspiring and empowering their lives.

Thank You
