NEW APPLICATION FOR CECT INSTRUCTORS Pay Detail Information

STAR ID ACTIVATION If you have not activated your star ID, you will need to do so in order to access the state payroll system. The address is: https://starid.minnstate.edu/ Select “I know my TECH ID (8 digit student ID).” This number is found in the upper right corner of your agreement.

STAR ID ACTIVATION Enter your Tech ID and Select “Century College” from the drop- down menu *if your Tech ID begins with leading zeros, you must enter the zeros

ADD YOUR SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER Enter your social security number. You MUST include dashes, ex. 123-45-6789, or the system will not recognize your SSN.

CREATE A PASSWORD & CONFIRM EMAIL Create a password using the applicable rules. Review your email address. Password Rules At least 8 characters long Must contain 3 of 4 characters Uppercase letter(s) Lowercase letter(s) Number(s) Special character(s) May not include your name Cannot be re-used *If your email address is different than what is listed, contact our Human Resources department at 651.779.5804. The change should be on your account in one hour.

STAR ID CREATION You will be assigned a Star ID which is a combination of 2 alpha characters, 4 numbers and 2 alpha characters Your password is good for 180 days. You will receive reminder emails, to the address on file at 21, 7 and 1 day prior to expiration. The email will come from “NoReply@minnstate.edu” with the subject line “StarID Reminder: Your password will expire in XX days”

PAY DETAIL RETRIEVAL Using your Star ID, log into the Century site: www.century.edu Click the “ ” found in the upper right corner of the screen. The first time you log in, you may have to enter your credentials twice. Click on the “myCentury” link and expand “Employee” Under the Human Resources option, click on “Leave & Time Reporting”

EMPLOYEE HOME You will be taken to a Minnesota State Community College & Universities site (MnSCU/ISRS). If requested, enter your Star ID and password again. Once this has been entered on your device, you will likely not have to enter it again. Depending on the device/browser used, you may have different display options. While you are NOT actually submitting a timesheet or hours worked, you will select the option“eTimesheet” In this application you will select the Employee Home, Dashboard tab. You likely will not have as many applications shown as the example to the left. Click on the “eTimesheet” link under the Dashboard tab.

PAY DETAIL Once in the application, you will see a screen like, or very similar, to the one shown at the left. Select any filter you wish to apply to your search.

PAY DETAIL (cont.) The pay detail will show the institution (campus) you taught at during a particular pay period as well as the amount you were paid. If you believe any of this information is incorrect, contact our Human Resources department at 651.779.5804.

REMINDERS You can expect payment approximately 4 weeks AFTER you have taught a class. You will typically be able to see the amount to be deposited on the Tuesday prior to pay day. Payments are deposited to your account every other Friday. Pay calendars can be found at https://mn.gov/mmb/accounting/payroll/calendars/ If you are looking to update or print any of the following items: W2 or W4 information Change address Change direct deposit bank account information Change 403(b) contributions, etc. Select “State Self Service” or “State of MN Employee Self-Service” option.
