Count Me In Attendance Registration

Supporting your student success Our aim is to encourage and support you by providing the highest possible quality of student experience through a supportive learning environment. One indicator of your likely academic success is good engagement with all aspects of your studies, including attendance at timetabled classes. Other indicators of academic success include your engagement with Moodle, submitting coursework on time and your coursework marks. Your timetable Your personalised timetable is available to view on your virtual learning environment, MyMMU, available at my.mmu.ac.uk

What to do To record your attendance, tap and hold your student ID card against the card reader. Card readers are installed in all larger teaching spaces. Where there isn’t a card reader in place, your tutor will register your attendance for you. When your student ID card is scanned, the reader will light up, beep once and display your name. Please tap only your card, not your entire purse or wallet. When to do it Register your attendance at the beginning of each timetabled activity using your student ID card in any room where a card reader is present. You can register your attendance from 10 minutes before the start of your class If you are unable to attend a class, please submit an absence online via attendance.mmu.ac.uk

Help when you need it Visit your nearest Student Hub if you would like to talk to one of our friendly advisors about: your timetable study support advice and guidance on personal or study issues Or visit the online Student Hub at mmu.ac.uk/students/hubs For further information on the Attendance Registration System and answers to frequently asked questions visit mmu.ac.uk/attendancefaq. Please contact your Student Engagement Officer for further advice and support.

Tap in to win! Register your attendance at timetabled sessions during Welcome Week to be in with a chance of winning one of three great prizes! 1st prize – ipad 2nd prize - £100 Amazon voucher 3rd prize - £50 Amazon voucher You can start registering your attendance as soon as you receive your new student ID card. Please take care of your card as from January 2018 it will cost you £10 to replace if you lose it. Card readers are located in all larger teaching spaces. You can also register your attendance during Welcome Week using the card reader located at the Business School Hub.
