Origins: Vocabulary

To adapt means to change.

Agriculture is the raising of plants and animals for human use.

archeology Archaeology is the study of human life in the past by examining the things that people left behind.

An artifact is an object made by a human being.

An Organized Social Structure civilization a group of people living together who have organized systems of government, education, religion, and a social structure Religion Systems of Government An Organized Social Structure Education

culture Culture is the beliefs, customs, practices, and behavior of a particular group of people.

domesticate Domesticate means to change the growth of plants or behavior of animals in ways that are useful for humans.

secondary source Examples: A secondary source is a secondhand account of an event in history based on information from primary sources. Examples: textbook encyclopedias tv shows made after the event
