AIDA++ Knowledge Transfer and Communication A.Pezous & D.Antonio

Communication, Dissemination and Outreach D1. Communication Strategy and Plan D3. Final report on Communication, Dissemination and Outreach D2. Introductory Video On Track Academia Meets Industry Multiple stakeholders Knowledge Transfer Inter-disciplinarity Measurement & Evaluation Communication, Dissemination, Outreach Tools Create a network of contacts in the detector community and representatives from the project – Knowledge Transfer Officers Scientific decisions today involve multiple stakeholders, both specialised and not. To engage this variety of audiences, as well as the different technical expertise inside the detector community and promote the impact of fundamental research through knowledge transfer, this task aims to provide the necessary communication, dissemination and outreach tools. To make sure the communication team engages in a coherent and fully approved strategy, we will create a Communication Strategy and Plan, including a Communication/Dissemination Plan for On Track. This plan should define goals, priority audiences, channels and materials, outcomes and metrics – based on previous experience with AIDA-2020 –, including tailoring different activities for different stages of the project. Particularly: To grow On Track, we will create a network of contacts in the detector community and representatives from the project To introduce the project, we will create a introductory video for AIDA++ As the project’s first results are announced, we will organize an Academia Meets Industry in year 2. At the end of the project, a feature issue of On Track will be curated and edited. Define goals, priority audiences, channels and materials, outcomes and metrics – based on previous experience with AIDA-2020. 12 December 2019

Communication, Dissemination and Outreach Participants CERN – European Organization for Nuclear Research Deliverables 1. Communication Strategy and Plan 2. Short video introducing the Project 3. Final Report on Communication, Dissemination and Outreach Budget Estimate EC Contribution = 130,000 EUR Matching funds = 84,000 EUR personnel cost To sum up… NOTE on budget: The total costs of the project include personnel, goodies, the video and travel. The total is 214,000 EUR, shared as shown: 130,000 EUR from the EC contribution and 84,000 EUR in matching funds. 12 December 2019

Knowledge transfer Knowledge Transfer Network role: Clusters to work on specific markets analysis and to analyze the potential for technologies in new markets Each WP leader should be associated with a KT/BD from their organisation to look at the potential transfer to industry. Each beneficiary should appoint a KT/BD person to participate in the task and sub-tasks. Synergies with communication task Impact analysis: Economic and commercial impacts Environmental, social and cultural impacts BluSky R&D: 1M € is reserved for supporting 10 blue-sky R&D projects Low-TRL R&D on new and promising technologies for future HEP detectors High-risk / High-gain projects Industrial participation is not mandatory 12 December 2019

Knowledge transfer Participants Deliverables Budget Estimate CERN – European Organization for Nuclear Research (should be all beneficiaries) Deliverables 1. Analysis of innovations in markets and technologies 2. Impact analysis 3. BlueSky R&D: Selection and follow-up of the selected projects Budget Estimate EC Contribution = 1,202,000 € EUR ( 1M € for BlueSky) Matching funds = 150,000 EUR personnel cost To sum up… NOTE on budget: The total costs of the project include personnel, goodies, the video and travel.
