Three Way Pledge and Parenting Goals Cambridge is part of a program called “No Excuses University.” the program is designed to take us from a great school to an even greater school. One goal is to make sure that everyone involved with the school understands their importance to the success of the school. One way at Cambridge we want to foster this is through the 3 way pledge. I’ve spoken about my goals for this class, but what are your goals as a parent? You are just as important part of this process as I am.

Attendance Did you know that Kindergarteners have the highest rate of truancy! Next is high school 12th graders. At Cambridge Elementary we are committed to student success! Part of this is that children showing up to school everyday! There are many studies on student truancy and grades. I understand life happens! Communicate

Birthdays I allow treats to come to class, but I ask that they come at the end of the day. Be mindful of food allergies, I will give notice of this in a few weeks. Students LOVE little trinkets just as much as they love food 

PTA JOIN OUR AMAZING PTA!!!! Information will be sent home tomorrow! Our class will win a ICE CREAM party if we get 100% members (including myself!!) First school wide event back to school BBQ 8/23 5-7 P.M

Communication I will send out newsletters, weekly, to keep you up with what’s going on in the classroom! E-mail is the easiest way to communicate, jstaples@travisusd.org If you call the school I will get in contact with you after school hours.
