INTRODUCTION ALAQUA is a US corporation. We manufacture process equipment. Our engineers have over 20 years experience in the engineering of sanitary and ASME code evaporators, crystallizers, spray dryers, solvent recovery and distillation systems. Alaqua was established in 1989, and incorporated in 1993.

PROFESSIONALS AT YOUR SERVICE Alaqua’s nucleus of highly skilled engineers and technicians, most of whom have over 20 years’ experience in the industry, developing outstanding products, serve a domestic and international base of customers. We provide engineering, fabrication, installation, start-up and personnel training for every application. We rapidly respond to any troubleshooting calls. We provide engineering, fabrication, installation, start-up and personnel training for every application. We rapidly respond to any troubleshooting calls. We guarantee operation to specifications. We guarantee operation to specifications. We provide engineering and consulting services. We provide engineering and consulting services. We are with you 24 hours a day, no matter where you are. We are with you 24 hours a day, no matter where you are.

BASIC & DETAIL ENGINEERING SERVICES : 3 major drawings: Process Flow drawing, P&I Drawing, and General Arrangement drawing with loads. Alaqua will design and calculate the required size for all vessels, pumps, and pipe work for the system, and size all for the correct functioning of the unit. Engineering will enable, once installed by the Customer, to have a fully operational system. Alaqua’s scope will include PFD, PID with specifications for pumps, piping size, control loops, instruments and controls, and GAD with the loads. No 3D or isometric dwgs – these can be provided for an additional fee. For further clarification, the engineering package includes the following items: – Specifications for pumps – GPM, TDH, NPSH and materials of construction. – Control loops: The control logic for the evaporator. – Instruments: States the type of instrument: e.g. LC, FC, PI, TE, etc. – All motor HP’s will be on the PID.

FABRICATION OF EQUIPMENT’S * Heating elements. * Vapor separators, complete with all internals, including demisters. * Surface Condenser. * Vent gas condenser. * TVR (Thermo-Vapor-Recompressor) or MVR. * Vapor piping. * Circulation pumps. * Motors for circulation pumps. * Liquid piping. * Other Centrifugal pumps and their motors – per Alaqua P&ID. * Vacuum system consisting of a liquid ring vacuum pump and motor with discharge tank and seal liquid cooling system. Skid mounted package. * Valves and control valves – will be shown in P&ID. * Instrumentation elements and control elements – to be shown in P&ID. PLC controls with PLC software programming, and PLC hardware.

INSTALLATION AND COMMISSIONING SERVICES The structure will be built in the same manner that we build systems: Customer will submit geological data to its Structural Engineering Subcontractor for this matter. Alaqua will hire an Engineering group to review / revise / comment / modify and sign-off on the drawings.Client will need to supply the drains. During normal operation we drain little water; however Client should size the drain for housekeeping and any emergency drainage. We typically recommend a trough drain down the middle with tie ins for pump seals, vacuum pump drains, etc.

PRODUCT’S ALAQUA supply solutions & equipment worldwide to meet your processing requirements, offering Forced Circulation Evaporators, Falling Film Evaporators, Dairy Evaporators, Evaporative Crystallizers, Cooling Crystallizers, and many others.

FALLING FILM EVAPORATORS Falling film evaporators are highly responsive to alterations of parameters such as energy supply, vacuum, feed rate, concentrations, etc. When equipped with a well-designed automatic control system they can produce a consistent concentrated product.

FORCED CIRCULATION EVAPORATORS Forced circulation evaporators are used if boiling of the product on the heating surfaces is to be avoided due to the fouling characteristics of the product, or to avoid crystallization on the heat transfer surface. The flow velocity in the tubes must be high, and high-capacity pumps are required.

PLATE EVAPORATORS Plate evaporators are of compact design. Separators are connected to the plate packages with short interconnecting pipe-work. Thus, space requirements are low and the height normally does not exceed 20 to 25 ft (6-8 meters). This means that plate evaporators can be installed in most buildings.

THERMAL VAPOR RECOMPRESSION (TVR) In multiple-effect evaporators with TVR, the heating medium in the first effect is the product vapor from one of the associated effects, compressed to a higher temperature level by means of a steam ejector (TVR).

MECHANICAL VAPOR RECOMPRESSION (MVR) In evaporators with MVR, the heating medium in the first effect is vapor developed in the same effect, compressed to a higher temperature by means of a fan or blower (MVR).
