Remember…your Introduction is 1 of the most important parts to your paper!

Introductions….make a strong 1st impression! You want your reader’s attention right away!

Q: To get your reader’s attention right away in the intro, what kind of sentence would we use first? A: The Grabber is right!!!

How are you going to “grab” your audience? What are some strategies we talked about to start your introduction? Strategies: Question Quotation Fact Statement (fact or opinion) Description Event Sound

1 More Thing to Remember! When you start your story, you want to start as close to a main event as possible; don’t start for example 2 weeks prior to the event…get right to the action!
