Every crisis in life is a foreshadowing of The Day of The Lord

Isaiah 13:6&9 “6 Wail, for the day of the LORD is near; as destruction from the Almighty it will come! … 9 Behold, the day of the LORD comes, cruel, with wrath and fierce anger, to make the land a desolation and to destroy its sinners from it.”

Jer. 46:10 “That day is the day of the Lord GOD of hosts, a day of vengeance, to avenge himself on his foes.”

2Pet. 3:10 “But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, and then the heavens will pass away with a roar, and the heavenly bodies will be burned up and dissolved, and the earth and the works that are done on it will be exposed.”

2nd coming of Jesus is The Day of The LORD

A day of Complete Justice

2. A day of the Perfect Judge

3. A day of the Salvation of the Righteous

Isaiah 10:27 “27 And in that day his burden will depart from your shoulder, and his yoke from your neck; …”

4. A day Unworkoutable!

Matt. 24:36 “But concerning that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father only.”

1 Thes 4:16-17 “16 For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord.”

1 Cor 1:8 “[Christ] who will sustain you to the end, guiltless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.”

But... That is just the beginning!

1 Cor 3:12-15 “12 Now if anyone builds on the foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw— 13 each one’s work will become manifest, for the Day will disclose it, because it will be revealed by fire, and the fire will test what sort of work each one has done. 14 If the work that anyone has built on the foundation survives, he will receive a reward. 15 If anyone’s work is burned up, he will suffer loss, though he himself will be saved, but only as through fire.”
