how I use these plans! TIPS + TRICKS Putting my subplan template together is one of the tasks I do before the school year starts. Even if I don’t have all the information, I can create a Skelton plan of the information. The only time I make changes is if a new student and/or staff member qualifies, moves, or I change my own personal policy. When I’m planning an absence or getting ready for a sick day, I update: What’s happening during the week (check my calendar + school calendar) Lesson plans + directions (include attachments) Putting in the time in the beginning of the school year will make getting ready for a substitute so much easier. I started using this template in the middle of the 2018-2019 school year and it relieved SO MUCH stress when working on my subplans. Make any adjustments to fit your program.
