Situations 1…. A person in your group gets something in their eye. What do you do? Ask permission to use the eyewash station Ask to go to restroom to wash it out One person takes the one with something in their eye to the eyewash station the other goes to tell the teacher

Situations 2…. When do you use goggles? In every lab When there are dangerous chemicals Whenever your teacher indicates it is important

Situations 3…. When do you taste the chemicals in a lab? When they are harmless like sugar and salt If they are dissolved in water, they are okay to taste Never

Situations 4…. What do you do if there a chemical spill on your skin? Immediate flush with water and then notify the instructor Immediately ask permission to go the bathroom to wash it off Wipe off the desks and then clean yourself up

Situations 5…. If there is an equipment or glass breakage, what do you do? Pick it up quietly without disturbing the rest of the class Notify teacher and get cleaning equipment Hide the accident as best you can until the end of the lab
