Trusting Our Faithful God 1 Peter 4:12-19

When Suffering… Expect it (do not be surprised) And the kings of the earth, who committed sexual immorality and lived in luxury with her, will weep and wail over her when they see the smoke of her burning. (Revelation 18:9 )

When Suffering… Expect it (do not be surprised) and cried out as they saw the smoke of her burning, “What city was like the great city?” (Revelation 18:18)

When Suffering… Expect it (do not be surprised) And the ones on the rock are those who, when they hear the word, receive it with joy. But these have no root; they believe for a while, and in time of testing fall away. (Luke 8:13)

When Suffering… Expect it (do not be surprised) Rejoice!

Our participation in his sufferings means that we will also participate in his glory.

and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, provided we suffer with him in order that we may also be glorified with him. (Romans 8:17)

When Suffering… Expect it (do not be surprised) Rejoice! Inspect the Reason for Your Suffering We Should Glorify God, Because We are Bearing His Name Remember: All Will Stand Before God the Judge

“It is time for judgment to begin from the house of God.”

It is better to stand by one’s faith now, even though it results in suffering, than to deny Christ for present relief; only to suffer much worse in the coming judgment as one who has denied and rejected Christ.
