Continental Drift Theory by Wegener Suggested Continents slowly move over the surface of the earth Pangea: A supercontinent where all continents have drifted together. Pangea means “all lands”

Evidence of Pangea Land Features: Fossils: When continents are put together, mountain ranges and coastal lines fit together Fossils: Fossil: Trace of an organism preserved in rock Geologists have found fossils of animals in areas where they wouldn’t have existed

Climate: Movement toward equator--warmer Movement toward poles—colder Fossils from animals that could not currently live in the conditions of the continents have been found…
