Earned a degree in fermentation science from the University of California, Davis Her natural aptitude for science and a passion for creativity led her toward a career in winemaking Worked nearly 20 years in various roles at Beaulieu Vineyard Her experience has given her a profound understanding of how great wine is made – in the vineyard.

By 1989, wine grapes were Sonoma County’s top money–making crop, replacing dairy, grain and fruit. There are 18 sub-AVA’s in Sonoma County. 7% of California wines are from here. Sonoma County grows more than 60 varieties of wine grapes. Over 400 small and family owned wineries call Sonoma County home. Many are in their 3rd and 4th generations of ownership. California’s first commercial winery was founded here in 1857.
