ADMINISTRATION Managing Ideas

Managing Feedback Moderators can assign a status to an idea… (the idea creator is automatically alerted) Moderators can also post an official comment which is displayed here.

Here’s How Click on “Ideas Management” > “View all Ideas” To edit the idea description and categories, click on the gear icon and select “Edit & Manage” Click on the idea title you wish to manage…

Workflow Re-visit the idea details and creator. Moderators can submit public or internal comments.

Internal notes / discussion Moderators can post internal (private) notes that are not displayed on the user-view

Assigning a Status From the “Assign Status” tab, moderators can assign a status and make an official comment which appears on the user-view.

Assigning a Moderator From here you can select and assign a moderator and a department for the idea…

Development Notes The "Development" tab enables administrators to upload related documents (only visible by moderators/admin). Also in this section an administrator/expert is able to write up a more detailed idea description, ROI, benefits, etc. Here you will be able to record both physical material and monetary and time savings to be recorded and reported on, so that returns on an idea or all ideas can be monetized.

Deleting an Idea To delete an idea, click on the gear icon and select “Delete”. A popup message will be displayed asking for confirmation.

Archiving an Idea To archive an idea, click on the settings icon and select “Archive”. You will then be given the option of writing a reason to the idea creator to why their idea had been archived.

Contacting the Idea author Clicking on the “Communication” link will allow you to communicate directly with the idea creator, communicate with users who promoted or demoted the idea and communicate with all users who commented on the specific idea.

Merging Ideas If two ideas have been posted which are similar, you may wish to merge them. This will combine the votes and comments into one. From the settings icon, click on the “Merge” link. This will open a popup which lists all ideas, you can select which idea you wish to merge the current idea with.

Idea Report Clicking on the “Report” link will open a page from where you can select to run two reports – 1. Comments submitted and 2. Votes submitted.

Moving an Idea If you have Multiple Communities – in some cases users may post their idea to the wrong community. The “Move” link allows you to move an Idea from one community to another. Selecting the “Move” will open a popup from where you can select the appropriate community.
