La Eso (educación secundaria obligatoria) By Annie, Sophie, Jonah and Callan

You spend 4 years in La ESO from age 12 – 16 years old. First year age 12/13 Second year age 13/14 Third year 14/15 Forth year 15/16 Secondary school age

The school day varies in every city but usually the day begins at 8:30 or 9am and finish at 3pm They often stay until 5pm doing extra studies, or clubs. They will get a lunch break half way through the day, but times vary in every school. School day

In Spain for the first 2 years you mostly do all the same subjects, these are: Biology and geology Maths Spanish Geography and history First foreign language PE Religion or ethical values For the next 2 years of la ESO the subjects they do are: Sciences (choice) Subjects

Most of the schools would give a list of things to bring including art and craft materials, pencils, pens etc. In the majority of state schools in Spain uniform is not compulsory, but in private schools they are. What to bring and wear
