UMMS Human Resources Learning Management System (LMS): Resetting Your Password Hello my name is Martha Streeter and I am the Director of HR Communications, Learning and Professional Development. I am going to review with you today how to reset your password in the Learning Management System or what we refer to as the LMS.

How To Reset Your Password From your UMMS LMS login page, https://umassmedical.litmos.com click the I’ve forgotten my username/password link. To reset your password go to the LMS log in page, at the url shown in the slide and click the I’ve forgotten my username/password link.

How To Reset Your Password (Cont’d) Next Steps: You will then have to enter your correct username to successfully use the reset password link. Your username is your Employee ID number and would have been pushed out to you when you were welcomed to the system. You can also find your username on a course assignment email. Please save your LMS username and password in a word doc on your PC to reference if you forget it. If you don’t know your username, please email landd@umassmed.edu After putting in your username and selecting Continue, a reset link will be emailed to you instantaneously. Password Reset Email Once you receive your password reset email, click the reset link in the email and you will be brought into LMS to reset your password. Once you receive your password reset email, click the reset link in the email and you will be brought into LMS to reset your password.

Password Criteria Please note your password must contain: 8 characters 1 upper case 1 lower case 1 number 1 special character Put your LMS username and password in a saved file on your PC so you can reference if you forget. Put in your new password and select the green Continue button. You will then be logged into LMS. Please be aware your password must contain 8 characters, 1 upper case, 1 lower case, 1 number and 1 special character. Create your new password and select the green Continue button. You do not need to fill in any other fields. Once you select continue, you will then be logged into LMS.

Unlocking Your Account A user account will lock after 5 failed login attempts with incorrect username or password combination. You will get a pop-up that says: Your account is locked. Please use the link to reset your password.  Click the I’ve forgotten my username/password link. Follow the same steps to reset your password.
