Understanding the fabric of our community / comprendre le tissu de notre communauté The Network chose Headline Indicators to measure the progress toward these results. The goal is to identify indicators that: Communicate well Tell us something of central importance about the result For which good information is available I NDICATORS

Understanding the fabric of our community / comprendre le tissu de notre communauté R E -V ISITING THE T ERMS OF R EFERENCE The BSN participated in a visioning exercise to revisit and redefine their: – Core values – Vision – Mission

Understanding the fabric of our community / comprendre le tissu de notre communauté E STABLISHING A P LAN Network members engaged in broad planning toward these results. Moving from the macro plan (Results) that guide their work, the Network developed a strategic plan that identifies the Networks contribution toward these results. They established: » Goals » Strategies » Objectives » Initiatives

Understanding the fabric of our community / comprendre le tissu de notre communauté The Community Results are not the work of the Network alone, but rely on many partners and stakeholders to achieve this level of change. The Goals are the Networks contribution to achieving the Results. Goals describe what the Network wants to achieve. BSIPN GOALS

Understanding the fabric of our community / comprendre le tissu de notre communauté We achieve our goals through major strategies. Strategies are statements of general approach. The most closely related Indicator is noted for each strategy. S TRATEGIES

Understanding the fabric of our community / comprendre le tissu de notre communauté Strategies are implemented through the initiatives undertaken by the BSIPN and its sub-committees. Initiatives are specific programs, projects or activities employed by the Network that move the strategies forward. I NITIATIVES
