Pretest Lab 2 Ag-Ab Reaction & Serial Dilution Technique 10 points, 10 minutes Assist.Prof.Suwin Wongwajana,M.D.,M.Sc. Dept.of Microbiology, Fac of Medicine, KKU.

Write your name, student code, lab gr.Date on the top of the paper

1.In the serial dilution technique, when you pipette solution to the second tube, the pipette must immerse into the solution of the second tube. Right or Wrong

2. In 2-folded serial dilution, the dilution will be diluted in this manner e.g. 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, 1;16….. Right or Wrong

3.Ab titer is the lowest concentration of Ab that can react with Ag and give positive result. Right or Wrong

4. This precipitin line called: line of partial identity Ab Ag2Ag1 Right or Wrong

5. From the precipitin line shown below, Ag must have higher concentration than Ab. Right or Wrong Ab Ag

6.Blood grouping that will be tested today is one type of precipitation test. Right or Wrong

7.Blood grouping that will be tested today is called: indirect hemagglutination. Right or Wrong

8. In single radial immunodiffusion (SRID) test, the Ag was thoroughly mixed with the gel before testing. Right or Wrong

9.In immunoelectrophoresis (IEP), the Ag will be separated first by molecular size. Right or Wrong

10. In ELISA technique, substrate must be added into the test in order to see the result. Right or Wrong

Write your name and pass the pretest to the corner of the bench.
