What we all have in common in Europe
1. Short introduction of the history -Started 8 years ago with a small team (Fons Bos, Wieger de Jong and Erik Hagebeek) -The first challenge: how can I remain teaching while being abroad. -Main goal: try to experiment with as much web applications as possible
Teaching abroad (or at home)
Teaching small groups
Bringing students virtually together
The distance
One ofthe most important prerequisite

3. iCt ( implementing CLIL through technology )
Different contexts Bilingual education International projects E-learningExchanges Collaborative work
E-Learning
Questions and doubts are resolved immediately There is a continuous feedback Teachers and students share space and time Face-to-face education
Events calendars News and forumsOnline content Asynchronous tutoring Both questions and feedback don’t take place immediately Teachers and students are separated by space and time E-Learning
Face-to-face E-Learning Student’s role Teacher’s role Student’s role Teacher’s role Before using communication and information technologies Teacher’s role vs Student’s role
The solution: extending the classroom
For the teacher The teaching method is close to the face-to- face one A greater interaction with students is reached The teacher can analyze his own performance in class by means of recorded sessions Advantages
For the students Students share space and time A greater interaction with the teacher is reached More possibilities for cooperation between students are developed Students can review sessions recorded at any time and as many times as they wish Advantages
4. The (near) future
